The Southampton County School Board met in December to approve routine consent items, establish an ad hoc transparency-and-accountability committee, approve resolutions asking the Board of Supervisors to fund replacement schools for Capern Elementary and Southampton Middle, and set a groundbreaking for a new student health center. The board also recognized students and staff and reviewed budget and operational reports.
