At its Dec. 9 meeting, the Jefferson County Board of Education heard a superintendent presentation on state accountability data showing modest proficiency gains but district performance remaining below state averages; the board agreed to postpone multiple consent items including proposed school closures to the Jan. 20 meeting and requested additional materials by Dec. 23; community speakers urged preserving Liberty High and raised procurement and vendor-contract concerns.
