Virginia Board of Education held a full-day meeting in Richmond with public comment on proposed accountability changes, approved a four-year phased proficiency implementation plan, adopted expanded high school science standards and several operational items, and reviewed proposed ESSA amendment 9 changes to include history/social science in federal accountability.
