Wayne County Board of Commissioners met Dec. 16 to handle consent items, budget amendments, employee recognitions, and approved grant and property transactions including a $300,000 NC Railroad pass-through grant for Alianza/Team Foods and a $2,000,000 purchase of the Performance East building (604 Corporate Drive); the board also considered a $200,000 opioid-settlement contribution for Ninth District recovery courts.
