Onalaska Common Council met Dec. 9. Council recognized a new full‑time firefighter, approved routine consent items and finance vouchers, debated whether to fund the Scenic Mississippi Regional Transit “Smart Bus” for 2026 (a motion and a funding-source amendment both failed), adopted a telecommunications ordinance for towers in the right-of-way, and moved into closed session for the city administrator review.
