Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m., conducted roll call of members (several commissioners and committee members responded) and confirmed a quorum to proceed.
Commissioner Kim Fraser presented a proposed resolution asking the Knox County Ethics Committee to conduct a comprehensive review and revision of the Knox County Code of Ethics; committee members asked questions about scope, timeline and public input and suggested lengthening the draft 120-day target to 180 days. No committee action or vote on the resolution was taken; Fraser plans to present the resolution to the Knox County Commission on Aug. 25 for consideration.
