Chicago Board of Education held a special meeting on Nov. 4, 2025 to consider school actions including the future of Chicago High School for the Arts/Chi Arts and the Epic Academy charter; the board heard extensive public comment urging preservation of arts programs and approved motions to wind down/transition affected schools with amended language to preserve the conservatory model and provide transition funding and planning.
