At a Nov. 20, 2025 meeting of the Chino Valley Unified Board of Education, a public commenter, Amanda Swagger, told the board a revised "controversial issues and flag ban" policy was placed on a revised policy document without board approval and urged the board to rescind it and reconsider it in open session; the board then adjourned into a closed session covering litigation, labor negotiations and personnel matters.
