El Paso Independent School District approved a one-time $300 retention stipend for eligible hourly employees and voted to hire Dr. Brian Lusk as superintendent (7-0). The board heard public comment about retention, reviewed eligibility and funding for the stipend, and completed a closed-session superintendent hiring before returning to open session to approve the contract.
