Chair Marcus LeGrand called the December 2025 meeting to order, introduced board members present and remote, and asked student representatives to introduce themselves (Jack Stricars, Bridal Medina, Caroline Dersh). He set audience expectations and moved to the pledge of allegiance.
The Ben La Pine Schools Board met in December 2025 for a regularly scheduled meeting that included a public hearing on Bend International School’s charter renewal, multiple public comments (including student-led sustainability petitions), reports on alternative learning programs, a human-resources staffing briefing and several routine votes. The board moved to review the charter renewal materials and will take a determination at its January 13, 2026 meeting.
