At a Burke County Board of Commissioners pre-agenda meeting on Dec. 1, 2025, county staff introduced a proposal to issue an RFQ for a single-source, vertically integrated foster care provider; the board also reviewed routine consent items, budget amendments, appointments and operational proposals and left most items on the consent or decision agendas for the regular meeting.
