The Mount Airy Town Council met in December 2025 to hear a donation from the Historical Society, receive department and commission reports, approve several bond releases and a paving contract, and adopt an amended water and sewer ordinance imposing an 8% rate increase effective with the Dec. 22 billing cycle; the council also approved an $80,000 budget amendment for the South Main Street roundabout and scheduled further water-rate work for early 2026.
