The Muscatine County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 1, 2025 accepted County Attorney Jim Berry’s resignation effective Jan. 4, 2026, and began steps to post and appoint an interim successor while discussing timelines and petition/special-election rules. The board also awarded a $~3.5 million bid to Daxon Construction for the Engineering & Zoning building and received staff updates on an IT password policy issue and campground work.
