The Knoxville Historic Zoning Commission met Sept. 18, 2025, and approved two certificates of appropriateness: a rehabilitation at 210 South 17th Street in Fort Sanders and conversion of a rear outbuilding into an accessory dwelling unit with a new carport and solar array at 221 East Oklahoma Avenue in Old North. Both approvals were conditional on staff reviews and, for the ADU, required variances from the Board of Zoning Appeals.
