At its Dec. 4, 2025 meeting, the Town of Oak Ridge Council reorganized, swore in a new council member, approved a rezoning for a 25.4-acre property on Alcorn Road (RZ25-04) after a public hearing raising traffic, well-water and floodplain concerns, postponed a special-use permit evidentiary hearing to Feb. 5, 2026 to allow counsel participation, and approved a $55,789.50 contract amendment for a waterline pipe specification; the meeting also heard a fire-department update and school report that Oak Ridge Elementary installed bottled-water stations after elevated PFAS levels were found in well tests.
