At its Dec. 22, 2025 hearing the City of Elswick Board of Appeals voted 5–1 to refund $1,200 in disputed building-permit fees to appellant Corey Wegen after finding permits had been issued despite a lapsed subdivision registration; staff will issue a refund check and the applicant must reapply under current fees.
