Wheeling Plan Commission met Dec. 17, 2025, approved minor site plans for a school pickup/drop-off and Lakeside Villas retaining wall, granted special-use, setback and signage-related variations and a playground site plan for a proposed K Educate daycare (subject to conditions), and voted to send a nonconforming towing-site addition and associated variation to the village board after split votes. A student-run group announced a holiday donation drive.
