Leawood City Council on Dec. 15, 2025 approved redevelopment incentives for the Hallbrook North project including a TIF, CID and intent to issue IRBs; approved a Public Works Committee recommendation to convert a section of 103rd Street from four lanes to three to improve school-area safety; advanced multiple stormwater projects and authorized watershed planning; created new enterprise and gifts/grants funds to increase transparency for golf course and other receipts; and the mayor was authorized to issue a statement opposing a proposed Major League Baseball stadium at the Overland Park/Esperia site.
