Statesboro City Council met Dec. 16 and approved a series of routine land-use, purchasing and budget items, including a preliminary subdivision recombination for duplex development, updates to purchasing policies, a FY2026 budget amendment and several contract awards; the meeting opened with a Hanukkah blessing and council remarks of solidarity with the Jewish community.
