Design review subcommittee of San Clemente City held a special meeting Dec. 17, 2025, to provide advisory feedback on development permit application (25-488) to convert an existing office at 424 N. El Pino into a restaurant to be named Rita Chiquita. The subcommittee gave design suggestions (roofline consistency, mid-century-modern treatments, screening of mechanical equipment, ADA access) and set a follow-up at the Jan. 14, 2026 regular meeting.
