Ironton City Council held its Dec. 22, 2025 meeting. The council recognized a newly formed Tree Commission seeking formal ordinance recognition and a $57,000 ODNR grant; heard widespread public concern about a proposed AI/data-center development outside city limits and agreed to seek a joint meeting with county commissioners; adopted multiple ordinances including a budget amendment, a solid-waste contract authorization, and a cybersecurity ordinance; authorized the city solicitor to file a quiet-title/easement action; and recessed to executive session to discuss personnel and contracts.
