At an MCPS Educational Foundation event, community leaders and officials, including Board President Grace Rivera and Superintendent Thomas Taylor, thanked Jamie Darvish and his family/business (named at the event as "Dark Cars") for an announced contribution the speakers said will pay off this year’s outstanding student lunch debt; officials outlined the scale of meal need and urged other businesses to step up.
