Hancock County Commission met on December 22 to hear a presentation from the Jefferson County Humane Society about shelter improvements and to approve a series of routine administrative items including the 2026 holiday and meeting calendars, several hiring/advertising items, the renewal of the Kennedy Marina concessionaire agreement (subject to DOI approval) and a memorandum of understanding with the City of Chester to run municipal elections jointly.
