At its Dec. 3, 2025 Community Redevelopment Agency meeting, the board approved a resolution to use CRA tax-increment funds to cover certain building-permit fees (not to exceed $4,744.23) for an affordable housing project at 923 Sycamore Street. A separate motion to immediately implement a beachside cleanliness and safety action plan failed on a 3-4 vote; staff were directed to return cost estimates and options at a workshop on Tuesday.
