Chair Steve Aubrey called the December meeting of the LaSalle County Salary and Labor Committee to order and performed roll call; members present or remotely present include Gina Bush, Mike McEmory, Kathy Bright (on Webex), James Bailey, and Doug Traeger (standing in).
The LaSalle County Salary and Labor Committee met Dec. 25, 2025, approved remote attendance and minutes, voted to hire a part-time temporary highway maintainer at the retiree’s prior rate and approved a $2.50/hour reclassification for two administrative assistants. The committee broadened the posted salary range for a nursing-home administrator to attract licensed candidates, discussed interim staffing costs and agency buyout fees, heard a preview of a hazard-pay letter for recurring jail sewage incidents, and voted to enter executive session to discuss personnel compensation and discretionary leaves.
