Kootenai County commissioners held their final business meeting of 2025 on Dec. 30, approving routine consent calendar items, several facility contracts for the sheriff's office, an employee stop-loss insurance policy effective Jan. 1, 2026, an outreach contract for the Aquifer Protection District, and an emergency-coroner expenditure resolution to allow rapid setup of local autopsy capacity after a terminated agreement with Spokane.
