Ascension Parish Council met on Nov. 20, 2025. The council swore in Jennifer DeFrancis (District 11), issued a proclamation for Lung Cancer Awareness and heard a survivor account, approved budget amendments and the 2026 budget as amended, denied a rezoning request, ratified an emergency declaration related to a red-dirt incident, and deferred several cooperative-agreement and contract items for later meetings.
