At its Oct. 7 Greenwood County Council meeting, members approved a zoning change regulating temporary development and real-estate signs after a contested public hearing, approved an economic development infrastructure credit draft for "Project Star," allocated accommodation-tax funds, and approved several county contracts and purchases including grant-management services for the Highway 246 project, a $238,424 reimbursement to Lockhart Power, and a contraband mail scanner for the jail.
