Muncie City Council held a special hearing and its first regular meeting of 2026. Council introduced several ordinances (including an additional-appropriations measure from EDIT funds and rules to require filing ordinances by a council member or counsel), moved quickly to address a school-safety traffic ordinance for Westview Elementary (suspending rules and adopting it the same night), and completed reorganization and multiple board appointments.
