The North Platte City Council met Jan. 6, 2026. Council adopted its 1- and 6‑year road plan, passed an annexation ordinance and approved a conditional-use permit for a 3.5–5 MW commercial solar farm with conditions (interconnection/PPA review, five‑year decommissioning review and a $750,000 decommissioning guarantee); two paving-district ordinances for Francis Street were tabled for more analysis. Several procurement and lease items were approved and one-acre transfer-station lease for storage of wood door skins was authorized.
