Anne Arundel County Council met Jan. 5 in Annapolis to take public comment, introduce multiple zoning and finance ordinances and hold public hearings and votes. Major items included a clean-energy loan financing bill, a cottage-home zoning proposal (with an adopted amendment), an ordinance to permit dog day care/training facilities, a contested ordinance to allow county-funded lead service-line replacement work on private property, and an extension of a public safety property tax credit.
