The Ketchikan Gateway Borough School Board held a special meeting Nov. 25, 2025, to interview three finalists for interim superintendent and later voted 6–1 to select Sherry Bollard for the interim role amid discussion of a newly discovered $5.2 million prior-year debt, uncertainty over federal Title funding, and staffing shortages.
