Milton City Council held a special called meeting Jan. 9, 2026, and approved, 5–1, an emergency moratorium stopping new applications for minor subdivision plats in the AG1 zoning district that would create lots smaller than 3 acres, effective until Feb. 7, 2026, with staff directed to hold a public hearing and return with recommendations by early February.
