Staff from Fairfax County Planning and Development kicked off a reboot of the Phase 3 Fairfax Center area study, reviewed planning history and a set of development concepts, and asked the task force to help refine a transportation-tested scenario that models roughly 5,465 new multifamily units and associated infrastructure and park needs; community members emphasized preserving green space and careful connectivity.
