Stockton City Council held a budget study session focused on department budget requests, proposed non-safety cuts to balance the general fund, and a detailed presentation from the Office of Violence Prevention on prevention programs, grants, staffing needs and outcomes. Council approved one contract and directed staff to return a balanced budget for adoption on June 24.
