Portland Transportation and Infrastructure Committee considered a technical code amendment to return street-renaming authority to City Council, and separately voted to allow code exemptions for Portland State University27s proposal to rename a three-block segment of Southwest Jackson Street to Southwest Rose Hill Street to honor Itway Rose Hill; both ordinances were forwarded to full council with recommendations to pass. Committee recessed and held a freewheeling discussion of PBOT27s transportation funding report and possible revenue options for 2026, including a transportation utility fee and support for TriMet.
