On Dec. 18, 2025 the Wellington Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board unanimously approved two ordinances that remove site-specific conditions from a 2005 land-use ordinance and rezone about 49.3 acres at 14833 50th Street to match the village comprehensive plan. Public commenters raised odor, truck traffic and water concerns about a nearby manure transfer operation, which board members said was not under review.
