Monterey County Board of Supervisors met Jan. 13, 2026. The board held a long presentation on SB 707 (Brown Act Modernization Act) and voted to authorize county subsidiary bodies to use teleconferencing; heard public hearings on a lot line adjustment and North County Fire Protection District impact fees (both approved); and reviewed a draft 20-year county facilities master plan. Multiple public commenters urged continued funding for the county Green Business Program.
