San Francisco Board of Supervisors held its Jan. 13, 2026 meeting. The board heard a mayoral appearance announcing Vanderbilt University will locate a full-time campus in San Francisco and discussed human-trafficking prevention funding; conducted a lengthy public hearing and voted 10–1 to uphold a planning department emergency exemption allowing removal and storage of the Vaillancourt (Embarcadero) Fountain; and approved a consent calendar of grants, housing subsidies, and other routine items.
