The Ketchikan Gateway Borough Assembly met Jan. 12, 2026 for ceremonial matters, public comment, a Board of Education update and an extended work session/public hearing on Ordinance 2094 (the draft 2035 Comprehensive Plan). The assembly advanced the plan to a third public hearing after adopting multiple clarifying amendments and also approved Ordinance 2095 (funding for an internal audit and transit land acquisition). Members debated use of commercial passenger vessel (CPV) funds and directed staff to pursue a Creek Street restroom MOA with the city.
