Villa Rica City Council held its first regular meeting of 2026 on Jan. 13. The council adopted a resolution asking the state legislature to restore pre-2024 charter language on city-manager selection after extensive debate, approved a slate of routine motions and appointments, heard multiple public comments about traffic and development, and moved into and out of executive session for property purchases.
