Bonner County commissioners met with the U.S. Forest Service Sandpoint Ranger District on Jan. 13, 2026. District staff briefed commissioners on active timber sales, flood damage and road closures (including a washed-out Wellington Creek bridge), planning for fuel-reduction along Highway 57, an over-snow vehicle decision currently enjoined by litigation, and an after-action review of last season's fires.
