The McKeesport Area School District board opened its Jan. 15 meeting with school-board recognition and student awards, received committee updates including a new CTE protective-services program and a reported $30,000 grant, heard a finance update showing a roughly $638,000 positive change in the fund balance, approved multiple consent items by roll call (one member objected), and passed a taxpayer-relief-resolution required by the state.
