The Highland Park Zoning Board of Appeals met Jan. 15, 2026 to consider VAR 202500058, a variance request for a pool, buried equipment vault and a gazebo at 2021 Old Briar Road. Staff summarized requested encroachments; the applicant’s representative and a nearby neighbor debated flooding, visual impacts and equipment exhaust. After questions and requests for engineering and landscape plans, the board voted to continue the case to a date uncertain and asked the applicant to re-notice neighbors.
