The New Canaan Charter Review Commission Group 1 met Jan. 14 to review prior minutes, hear the superintendent on how the town charter interacts with the Board of Education (including a recommendation to align vacancy language with state law), and to continue a detailed, line-by-line discussion of a draft section on elected vs. appointed boards. The group scheduled follow-ups and agreed to resume the pros/cons discussion next week.
