The Ascension Parish Recreation Committee met Jan. 15, 2026. The committee received a director's report on parks, programs and capital projects, heard public comment urging approval of an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Gonzales, and approved two agreements: an IGA with Gonzales for use of city baseball/softball fields and a cooperative endeavor allowing Ascension Catholic High School to use the South Louisiana Fairgrounds.
