At a Nov. 3, 2025 Dallas City Council work session, staff presented a proposed code change to allow commercial indoor recreation (gyms) in the city's single industrial zone and the public works director delivered the department's annual report outlining water, wastewater, parks and facility projects and staffing needs. Council gave general feedback and directed staff to proceed to the planning commission for review.
