Meeting called to order; roll call taken and a quorum confirmed. Sue Rode answered present. Two members (Andy Grama and Michael Sewell) were absent.
The Parks and Tree Advisory Board met to review and recommend several park projects: an alternative plan to build pickleball courts at City Park (with staff recommending forwarding to city council), installation of ADA-accessible swings at City Park (with funding commitments from Dallas Rotary and Dallas Community Foundation), expansion of reservable park shelters (board recommended limiting additions), and planning for a donated board tree to be planted next fall. The board approved minutes, heard public comment, and passed motions to forward the pickleball and ADA swing proposals to city council and to recommend against adding small shelters to the reservation system.
