Chair Candace Anderson called the Aug. 12, 2025 meeting to order, conducted roll call (all five supervisors present: John Gioia, Diane Burgess, Ken Carlson, Chanel Scales Preston, Candace Anderson) and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors met Aug. 12, 2025. The board appointed Grant Colfax as director of health services, heard a quarterly sheriff's oversight report that spurred hours of public comment about ICE notifications and a possible non'cooperation ordinance, approved a countywide community engagement survey tied to $1M-per-district allocations, received a Head Start update, and approved an implementation plan for an African American Holistic Wellness Hub (to be named for Supervisor Federal Glover).
