Mayor opened the meeting, asked for corrections to prior minutes. Amy pointed out the new building inspector had worked for Logan City, not Mendon City; council moved, seconded and approved the minutes with that correction.
Mendon City Council held a meeting and public hearing on an annexation petition for property owned by Eugene Olsen, heard public comment, discussed water/fire-flow and infrastructure implications, and voted to table the petition for further study. Council also approved a Rocky Mountain Power franchise ordinance, agreed to continue sewer-district discussions with Wellsville, approved a midyear budget re-opening with several line-item shifts, and authorized a job-title and pay-range change for the city clerk/office manager.
